Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) launches Official Logo for
Aeropuerto Internacional Reina Beatrix

It is with great pleasure that AAA N.V., company that manages and operates Aeropuerto Internacional Reina Beatrix in the presence of the Minister of Tourism, Public Health and Sports Mr. Dangui Oduber and its employees officially launched the official logo for the airport, separate from the authority. The logo is very representative of Aruba and one that the people of Aruba can relate to.

Over 25,000 Passengers During Super Weekend

Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) opened the New Year with all hands on deck to handle over 25.000 passengers who traveled over the 2-day period, being Saturday January 5th and Sunday January 6th 2019. According to the official passenger figures from IASA, 14,400 passengers traveled through the airport on Saturday, and 10,631 on Sunday.

Spotlight on Island Breeze: Gift Cart

Island Breeze Stores are part of the De Wit Stores group of stores and has in total 28 locations in Hotels, Malls around the Island, including 8 Island Breeze store/kiosks at Aruba Airport established for almost 12 years. On Friday, January 11th, 2019 Island Breeze introduced their newest addition at Aruba Airport, a new Gift Cart!

Now guests can buy the perfect welcome or surprise gift to welcome their brother, sister or longtime friend to Aruba. This new gift cart sells a variety of gifts including balloons, stuffed animals, candy, flowers and much more.

American Airlines Inaugural Flights

On Saturday, December 22nd, 2018 AAA in the presence of the Minister of Tourism, Public Health and Sports Mr. Dangui Oduber, the Aruba Tourism Authority team, the American Airlines team under the leadership of Mr. Nelson Cortes, Country Manager of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao together with other guests inaugurated direct flights from Dallas, Texas and Chicago, Illinois to Aruba!

With more than 28 flights launched, American Airlines now provides more opportunities for travel throughout the U.S., the Caribbean and South America. These two additional direct flights from Dallas and Chicago to Aruba, serve as strategic connections that will connect the Aruban market with various markets of interest in the U.S. AAA’s Air Service Development Manager Ms. Jo-Anne Arends expressed “Aruba Airport’s excitement in welcoming these flights to Aruba that will be of great benefit for the island. As a strategic partner for 49 years, the commitment to continuously expand their flight options to Aruba is to be valued and admired by all of us.” The inaugural flights event included the official ceremony held in the VIP-room, a token of appreciation was handed to all arriving passengers at the Gate, and the traditional cake, but with a modern twist was the highlight of the evening.

AAA Christmas Festivities

It was the season of giving, and AAA wanted to give back to the community in a special way. AAA bought 9 Christmas trees and with a group of volunteers, delivered these trees to 9 elderly homes and foster homes including Kibrahacha, Stichting Thuiszorg Aruba, Cas di Machi, Orthopedagogisch Centrum, Stichting Casa Cuna Progreso, Huize Maris Stella, Fundacion Cas Marie, Stichting Algemene Bejaardenzorg Aruba (S.A.B.A) and St. Michael Paviljoen for elderlies and kids to also enjoy the holidays.

On December 3rd, 2018 AAA invited all its employees, airport community and locals to join them for their 2nd Christmas Lighting Event. The event took placed in front of Aruba Airport’s arrivals hall where guests could enjoy some snacks, beverages, Christmas music and of course Santa Claus was present to take pictures with the kids and adults. At exactly 7:45PM, AAA lit up the street in front of the airport with decorative snowflake lighting and Christmas lights in the fountain.

AAA End of Year Celebration

AAA celebrated and welcomed the New Year with an end of the year celebration for its employees on the deck next to the VIP-room. AAA employees enjoyed themselves with some snacks, beverages and at exactly 11:30AM, lit up the traditional Pagara to welcome 2019! Afterwards, everyone could sing along the national Dande song and receive their blessings for the New Year.
