Nb. 4 - December 21st, 2022 - A look back at 2022 and many projects for 2023

A colourful year 2022 for the platforms!
Within the framework of BW2030, the Province of Walloon Brabant, InBW, Invest.BW and UCLouvain have made the University's technology platforms one of their 35 emblematic projects.
Encouraged by this impetus and in order to make their services better known, the platforms have joined forces and developed communication tools, including thoroughly revised web pages (in French and English), videos allowing you to take a virtual tour of their infrastructures, and a quarterly newsletter to keep you regularly informed of the latest news in terms of training, equipment, organisation of events, etc.

Many projects for 2023
The momentum is continuing! Next year will be punctuated by events to meet companies and other partners of UCLouvain in the fields of DeepTech, MedTech, Transition and Digital.
To enable everyone to better understand the extent of the equipment available, the platforms will also organise visits of their infrastructures.
Internally, they will continue their discussions to equip themselves with a common and standardised management tool.
And of course, all this while continuing to offer their services and expertise to researchers, students and other socio-economic stakeholders on a daily basis.

We wish you a warm holiday season and hope to be in touch with you next year!

The platforms Community

Do not hesitate to talk about this initiative and to relay it around so that an ever-growing public is informed of what is happening within the UCLouvain platforms!

Nanolithography: draw patterns down to 10 nm
Thanks to funding from the FNRS, the WINFAB platform has acquired a new ultra high-resolution Electron Beam Lithography (EBL) equipment for drawing extremely small patterns with dimensions down to 10 nm.

Composites: a world first to measure deformations at the nanoscale
A new method will hopefully help shed light on the local deformation and fracture behaviour of composites at the fibre scale.

The Pharmaverse was officially presented on Tuesday 13 December at MiiL to the pharmaceutical industry and training stakeholders
This project initiated by the start-up Ellion, funded by Innoviris and supported by the MiiL - technology platform of UCLouvain - aims at putting on the market the first metavers dedicated to the training in the pharmaceutical industry.

Do you want to develop skills in the very specific field of statistics applied to research laboratories?
