Airport Service Quality Program

Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) is proud to share that Aeropuerto Internacional Reina Beatrix (AUA) scored 4.26 for Overall Satisfaction in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey against the mean score of 4.08 for the Latin America/Caribbean region.

AUA has been participating in the Airport Council International's ASQ Program since 2015. The program aims at identifying passenger’s needs, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities in order to make airports more in tune with what services and products a passenger would actually want and/or need.

AUA scored above the average regional score in the following categories:
Passport Control: 4.28 (+ 0.02 more than the mean score of all participating airports for 2018)
Security: 4.33 (+ 0.09 more than the mean score for the world)
Airport Environment: 4.25 (+ 0.05 more than the mean score for the world)

Additionally, AUA scored +0.11 above the mean score for the North American region, +0.27 above the mean score for European region, and +0.43 above the mean score for the African region.

Renewal of Operational Agreement

On February 13th, 2019 AAA and Air Navigation Services Aruba (ANSA) signed a renewal of the operational agreement for air traffic management on the main apron, runway and taxiways of Aeropuerto Internacional Reina Beatrix.

Prime Minister Mr. Rutte's Visit

Aruba Airport Authority N.V. together with the Prime Minister of Aruba, Mrs. Evelyn Wever-Croes and the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Dangui Oduber warmly welcomed the Prime Minister of The Netherlands, Mr. Mark Rutte to Aruba on January 22, 2019. Mr. Rutte together with Mrs. Wever-Croes, Mr. Oduber and key stakeholders within the Aruban Government and Tourism Industry held an informative meeting at Aeropuerto Internacional Reina Beatrix, where AAA's CEO Mr. James Fazio had the opportunity to provide an update on ongoing projects and the Gateway 2030 expansion project.

AAA Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Princess Juliana Airport Authority

Aruba Airport Authority NV recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Princess Juliana Airport Authority (PJIA) in Sint Maarten. The recently appointed PJIA CEO Brian Mingo and AAA CEO agreed to collaborate on all levels related to Airport Operations. The delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Transport, mr. S. Johnson and had an interesting tour of the temporary facilities at PJIA.

Queen & Mrs. of the Sky 2019
Employee Appreciation Day

This year AUA will host its Queen and Mrs. of the Sky 2019 Election combined with an Employee Appreciation Day for the entire airport community. More than 10 participating queens will compete in 2 categories, being Queen of the Sky 2019 and Mrs. of the Sky 2019. It all starts at 4PM on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the airport Cargo Building. All airport community employees will receive complimentary food and beverages during the afternoon that promises to be filled with creativity, bright colors and our true Carnaval spirit with LIVE Entertainment from Le Groove featuring Aruba's Soca Monarch Winner, Tony Mingo!

Valentine's Day at the Airport

AAA celebrated Valentine's Day with a special treat for all its employees. All employees received a cupcake as a token of appreciation whilst giving back to our community by donating to "Cares for Ethan" foundation.

Fly In Love Campaign

Aeropuerto Internacional Reina Beatrix felt the love on Valentine's Day and wanted to give away a special gift to one lucky follower. The campaign was named 'Fly in Love' and followers had to comment a heart-shape or chocolate icon and tag @arubaairport to participate to WIN. By random selection, the lucky winner was Ms. Jar Correa who received her Valentine's Day gift and a box of cupcakes at the Airport.
