The Transport Workers' Union, AKT, has started an overtime ban in all Finnish ports on Wednesday 1 February at 6:00 am. In addition, AKT has issued a strike warning for the stevedoring sector, according to which work will be suspended on Wednesday 15 February 2023 at 6.00.

Port Hawkesbury Paper Wind has submitted a proposal to the province to construct a 29-turbine wind farm. The proposed location for the Goose Harbour Lake Wind Farm covers an area of Guysborough County between Lincolnville, N.S., and Mulgrave.
