Join us in welcoming Alexander Ovodenko to our Global Sustainability Forum series for a discussion on how framing of environmental issues can affect policy and regulations, specifically fracking in the US.
Alexander is a Professional Lecturer at George Washington University and previously was a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Lecturer at Washington University in St. Louis and Princeton University, respectively. His primary field was international relations, with a substantive focus on environmental policy. His research analyzes environmental policy and international institutions.
His book, Regulating the Polluters (published by Oxford University Press), explains patterns of regulation on global environmental issues involving different markets. He has studied patterns of cooperation on regional water bodies and have a collaborative experimental project on public views toward fracking in the United States.
