Let's Run Together

Hello friends and allies;

Welcome to the first installment of “Mile Markers”, Team Long Run’s weekly newsletter. We’re already excited at what we can share, and can’t wait to hear what you think.

Mile Markers will not only allow you to stay on top of the latest news from Team Long Run, but will also keep you informed on what you need to know from the world of running. Also, from time to time we’ll share articles that make connections between running, learning, and well-being.

If you get a chance, please stop in and say hi to our new friends at Fleet Feet/ Maine Running in Portland. Soon you’ll be able to support our mission of using running to help kids prepare for a better life by buying branded merchandise at the store, a very generous way they’ve offered to help Team Long Run.

One last thought- if you see a great article that you think would be of interest to the running community, just hit reply and let me know. We’ll work it into an upcoming newsletter (delivered each Wednesday) and give you full credit!

Happy reading, happy running.

Running Tips From The Team

Let's hear what a few team members have to say! Jake Meier: My food choices change based off of the type of run I will be doing, however, they are all pretty similar. Before a big race I am a little (very) nervous, so eating usually isn’t a good idea for me. For my shorter to mid-length runs...
This is one of Chuck's all-time favorite races. Remember to have fun and keep it light this week!
