What a difference a day can make...

That is the tagline we at WAA HQ talk about with our groups and locations, as they work hard in communities all across this great nation, with single minded effort to pursue the WAA mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach.

But that phrase, "what a difference a day makes..." was born out of seeing the impact that a single day, a moment in time, or even the impact one person can make in the life of another human being.

In just one moment, a life can be shattered, with the news of a loved one lost in a faraway land. This week, watching the PBS special The Vietnam War has brought back many memories, for me and the generations of families impacted when our men and women march off to war.

My challenge to you, is to think about where you could make one small difference, in the life of another. Choose a local veteran - they certainly deserve our upmost respect. However you decide to take action, know that in one day, in one moment, and being just one person... you can make a difference, and more than you might ever know.
