This week we prayed for our neighbors on the islands and along our southern coasts. And yesterday we prayed for those we lost, and the families and friends left behind the tragic events of 9/11.

We remember people like this man, Rick Rescorla and the many co-workers who responded that terrible day, with kindness and selflessness.

Please take care of your neighbors out there. Someone is fighting a good fight. Someone is missing a loved one, away and serving, or having made the ultimate sacrifice.

In the coming months, many of our die hard volunteers - are going to need our help. They work tirelessly to honor all those who serve, in each of their local communities. Please make sure you sign up and invite a friend, to join you and volunteer at one of our many participating locations.

The Whole Wreaths Across America Team

"Remember this.... In truth a person dies twice, once when he stops breathing, and a second time when somebody mentions his or her name for the last time. Join us in December when over one million volunteers nationwide, will say the names of a million fallen out loud, to make sure they will never be forgotten."
