Remembering The Longest Day:
On June 6, 1944, more than 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline, to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy.
You might also be interested to see this collection of photos, of what it was like for the folks back on when they learned the invasion was underway, or this collection of rare D-Day images from the archives at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans.

June 4, 2017, Wreaths Across America joined the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of New Jersey and Holocaust survivor Luna Kaufman in paying tribute to sculptor Nathan (Natan) Rapoport recognizing the thirtieth anniversary of his death.

A dream came true this Memorial Day weekend for a World War II veteran in Michigan. 89-year-old Milton Mockerman received his high school diploma.
94-year-old World War II veteran Julian Hodges has visited the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. twice. This past weekend was his third trip to the site.

In December, the United States observed the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, which brought America into World War II. In the coming months, we will remember battles great and small.
World War II Veteran, Nick Westendorf celebrated his 104th birthday with family and friends on Saturday. Westendorf was a mechanic for the U.S. Navy.
