Wreaths Across America expresses gratitude and appreciation for all those involved in transporting America's respect with "Trucking Tributes." These stories will introduce you to the men and women of the industry who make the mission possible.  Stan Hampton of J.B. Hunt talks about the role this company plays in this honorable mission.

Dates To Observe In May:

SILVER STAR SERVICE BANNER DAY Every May 1 Americans honor the sacrifices of the combat wounded, ill and dying service members on Silver Star Service Banner Day.
Loyalty Day is on May 1 each year. It is a special day for people to reaffirm their loyalty to the United States and to recognize the heritage of American freedom.
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. 
You may hear this phrase quite a few times this Thursday.  And it applies to our military in so many ways. "May the Fourth Be With You" or "May the Force Be With You."  This week, many enthusiasts will be having fun with this play on words, celebrating the iconic Star Wars movies.  
NATIONAL NURSES DAY National Nurses Day is observed annually on May 6. On this day, we raise awareness of all nurse contributions and commitments and acknowledge the vital role nurses play.

WAA Wednesday Webinars:

Each week WAA hosts a live streaming webinar on Wednesday afternoons, and this past week we started a new series called "Voices of Our Volunteers" and it only made sense to start with one of our first volunteers, now WAA Chairman Wayne Hanson. Back in early 90's Wayne was one of the first Maine State Society members to come out and help place wreaths at ANC.
