From Military Service To Ambassador

When you combine a love of nation, and the mission to remember, honor, and teach with the love of an animal it creates a powerful force for good.

The soul of Wreaths Across America has been awakened with the arrival of Peter to his new forever home at Dun Dreamin' Farm in Columbia Falls, Maine, not far from the Wreaths Across America Headquarters.

In last week's newsletter we teased the story about Peter, the Caisson Horse. This past week, Karen and Morrill Worcester, executive director and founder (respectively) of national nonprofit Wreaths Across America, received a special honor in the form of a retired military horse from the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment, (The Old Guard).

Peter, a decorated veteran and a U.S. Army Caisson Platoon horse who was recently retired from active duty, was presented to the Worcester’s in an adoption ceremony at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, on March 13. He has since made the trip to Columbia Falls, Maine, where he will spend the rest of his years.

Trucking Tribute Of The Week:

Not all of our trucking industry partners are what we refer to as rolling ambassadors. Some are quite stationary in fact, but their dedication and commitment to the Wreaths Across America mission to remember our fallen, honor those who currently serve, and teach younger generations the value of freedom is unparalleled.

WAA Wednesday Webinars:

In last week's webinar, we talked with WAA supporter Ellen Fuller, who shared some great ideas about how our groups can use the new eCheck option to help donors who prefer to write a check rather than giving online.
This week's webinar (live streaming at 4pm EST on the Facebook page) is for those intrepid souls who want to join a special WAA mission. Come be a part of a focus group and help us plan our NEXT big mission.

RED Fridays - Join Us In Remembering Everyone Deployed. Campaign ends Thursday, March 23. Show others you haven't forgotten and a wreath is sponsored with each shirt ordered.
