This year, the Green Arrow will face his toughest challenge yet: the "American Ninja Warrior" course. "Arrow" star Stephen Amell will compete in the show's first ever celebrity edition, which airs May 25 as part of NBC's annual Red Nose Day programming.

According to TVGuide, Amell will compete against other celebrities, including  Derek Hough ("Dancing With the Stars"), Erika Christensen ("Parenthood"), "Today" anchor Natalie Morales, comedian Nikki Glaser, Olympic gold medalist Ashton Eaton, former Yankees player Nick Swisher, actress Mena Suvari and comedian Jeff Dye.

Amell is known for his physical fitness and prowess with a salmon ladder, but how will he stack up against an Olympian and a former professional athlete? Luckily, he and the other stars will have some help. Each competitor will also be paired with a veteran ninja warrior, who will act as coach: Kacy Catanzaro with Amell, Daniel Gil with Hough, Flip Rodriguez with Christensen, Grant McCartney with Morales, Jessie Graff with Glaser, Kevin Bull with Eaton, Drew Drechsel with Swisher, Natalie Duran with Suvari, and Meagan Martin with Dye.

"American Ninja Warrior" will kick start NBC's Red Nose Day programming, which raises money and awareness for children living in poverty in America and around the world. The special celebrity episode will air Thursday, May 25 at 8 pm ET on NBC.
