BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — You've been asking us a lot of questions about coronavirus. Dr. Maureen Finney, the Dean of Health Professions at D'Youville College, joined us to help us answer some of those questions.

Jane from Lockport wants to know if there is a risk of contracting the virus from a take-out food container.

The risk is very low. Take these precautions if you're worried. Dr. Finney says, "open it up and take your own utensils, take the food out of the container, put it on a separate plate, and if it's warm food, heat it up."

David from Kenmore wants to know if can catch the virus twice.

It is possible, but unlikely.

"At the moment, we can all feel pretty assured that once you elicit a response, you should hopefully be ok," said Finney.

Sharon from Olean wants to know if pets can get COVID-19.

There are some reports of dogs contracting the disease, but not showing symptoms. Finney says it's nothing to worry about.

"In this time of social isolation, anything that can bring comfort or normalcy to your daily routine is embraced."

If you have COVID-19 questions that you want answered, you can submit them here.
