EASPD Webinar: The role of funding for support service providers in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic
Wednesday 8th April, 14h00-15h00 CET

The Coronavirus outbreak presents a major challenge to all European countries. National, regional and local communities are on the frontline in countering the disease.  In the face of the COVID-19 virus, and the measures their national governments have implemented, support service providers are taking their own actions, to be able to continue to provide essential care & support services to those who need it most.
This webinar will bring together representatives of EU institutions and local service providers, who will present and discuss challenges and opportunities on funding to address the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • How (EU) funds are being mobilized to flexibly respond to the rapidly emerging needs in the most exposed sectors such as support services?
  • What are the recent initiatives launched by the European Commission such as the Coronavirus Response Investment Initiative (CRII)? How support services can have access to this?
  • What are the funding needs for local service providers and how local/regional/national governments are responding?

Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about current opportunities offered by institutional philanthropy or other international organisations.

The webinar will take place on Wednesday 8th April 14h00-15h00 CET.
